Canoe and Kayak Programs

Sprint Kayak programs
Recreational Paddling -- While WCC may be best known for its competitive programs, paddlers without racing aspirations form the core of the club. For member use, the Club owns a large number of recreational single and double kayaks and a fleet of aluminum canoes. Relaxing evening paddles are organized for members each month.
Sprint Canoe/Kayak Racing -- Head Coach Darek Oborski oversees WCC's sprint canoe/kayak teams. The program covers kayak technique, general physical fitness, water safety, the principles of competition, and the importance of racing and training as a team.
Outrigger Canoe Racing and Marathon Kayak/Canoe Racing -- WCC has teams training and racing in longer distance events for outrigger canoe, marathon canoe, surf ski and marathon kayak racing.

Membership

WCC is open to the public for sponsored competitions and other events throughout the year. However, general use of the Club is limited to WCC members. Anyone is welcome to join.
