New Forums RSS Feed is Installed

For those of you who are familiar with the long time trend of RSS Feeds or who are preferable to reading things in your email in box rather than on a web browser, we have installed a new and fancy RSS Feed called Smartfeed into the Friends of WCC forums.

RSS is a means of taking all desirable postings to the forums and sending them to your RSS Reader, which can be another web browser window, your email receiver software, or even a small 'app' on your desktop.

Once you know which RSS reader you wish to use, it is very easy to set up your Friends of WCC forums to feed to your reader.

1. Click the link at the top of any Forums page labeled Smartfeed:

2. Select the forums you want to be included in your RSS feed.
3. Select to filter the posts that are included in your RSS based upon a few criteria.
4. Describe the order your want to see the posts appear.
5. Select the format for your compatible RSS reader and choose a couple of security measures if you wish to.
6. Note that you can simply accept all the defaults up to this point if you just want a RSS feed of the entire forums.
7. Generate the URL to paste into your RSS reader. And test the RSS feed in a browser reader/page if you wish.
